Clozapine (norclozapine)

Clozapine belongs to the atypical antipsychotic drugs, dibenzodiazepine derivatives. Its action consists in weakly blocking dopamine D2 and strongly D4 receptors by which it increases the dopamine secretion. Clozapine has sedative effects, antipsychotic and antiautistic. In addition, it alleviates the symptoms manufacturing symptoms of schizophrenia.
