Antibodies to the myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein

Antibodies to myelin oligodendrocyte protein - antibodies detected in inflammatory disease of the optic nerve and Spinal cord, an inflammatory demyelinating disease of the nervous system nervous system. In most cases, patients are found to have presence of antibodies to aquaporin 4, antibodies to myelin oligodenrocyte protein are less common and accompany the clinically milder form of the disease.
