Test the level of IgG antibodies against chickenpox in the blood blood. Chickenpox is an infectious disease caused by Varicella zoster virus.

IgG testing for VZV antigens is used in the diagnosis of VZV primary infection and reactivation of VZV infection.


The presence of IgG antibodies to chickenpox confirms a a history of infection and indicates the acquisition of immunity.
