Paracetamol

Paracetamol belongs to the group of nonsteroidal drugs anti-inflammatory drugs. It is used as an analgesic and antipyretic. The maximum concentration of the drug is obtained after about 30 min and the analgesic effect lasts up to 5 hours. It acts By blocking prostaglandin cyclooxygenase in the central nervous system, inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins. Determination of paracetamol concentration is performed during suspected poisoning with the of the drug. The initial stage of overdose has non-specific symptoms such such as nausea and vomiting. Taking a toxic dose can lead to liver necrosis.
