Sight organ smear culture - what is the test?

Visual organ smear culture is a microbiological test thatóre based on taking a prób sample of biological material (e.g. pus discharge, conjunctival scrapings) from the surface of the eye and placing it on a special culture medium. Under laboratory conditions, the growth of microorganismsóy such as bacteria, fungi or viruses is observed, and their species and antibiotic sensitivity are determined.
