RSV virus detection

Clinical significance:

RSV is a syncytial respiratory epithelial virus. It causes respiratory drg infections in infants and children under the age of 5. Depending on comorbiditiesb the course may be mild or severe. In adults, symptoms are mostly mild, except in the elderly and immunocompromised. The test is based on the detection of the RSV virus.
