The test is the primary diagnosis of Lyme disease with Lyme.
Borrelia burgdorferi bacteria are transmitted by ticks Symptoms of spirochete infection include:
- Dermal lesions: erythema migrans (enlarging redness with a diameter of > 5 cm, appears from several tens of hours to several days after contact with a tick).
- Migratory erythema
- Joint complaints: joint pain (not always with swelling and redness), mainly of the small joints of the hands, feet, ankles ankles, but also large joints may be involved: knee, shoulder, hip, elbow.
- Neurological complaints: peripheral nerve involvement (e.g Shoulder plexitis, radiculopathy, polyneuropathy, etc.), symptoms of cranial nerve inflammation (facial nerve, trigeminal nerve, ocular, etc.), symptoms of CNS involvement (pain, dizziness, disorders of memory, intellectual, etc.). IgG class antibodies appear most often in 4-8 weeks after the bite.
